MY THOUGHTS: 
I really enjoyed this book and wished I had reviewed it quicker. This was the first McMahon book I read and it more than likely won't be the last. The book centers around Piper and Margot, in the present day. They are trying to find out why their childhood friend, Amy, killed her family late one night (this is not a spoiler as it is disclosed early on). The book flashes back between present day, the time period when Amy, Margot, and Piper were growing up, and then the time frame of their parents which provides a lot of history of the hotel involved in the story. Although it was somewhat confusing initially, it quickly sorted itself out.

I love the supernatural aspect of this book. It is provided in the setting and the overtones of the history provided. It isn't "in your face" paranormal, but provided in a subtle nature. McMahon does a wonderful job creating a beautiful, eerie atmosphere for this book. I was engrossed from the beginning and it held on to me until the end.
