May 2017 Wrap Up - I Barely Remember This Month at All!

So I did quite a bit of reading in May but looking at my Goodreads lists, it doesn't feel like the month of May happened at all.  I kept looking at books I read in April thinking they were May reads and vice versa.  Guess it's just been a hectic month and time is just going faster and faster.  Overall I read 9 things which I think is pretty good overall. Oh, and for a whole half a day I was meeting my Goodreads Challenge.  Didn't last long but at least I managed to catch up some.  Anyway, here's the breakdown.

GOODREADS: 40/100
2017 CLOAK & DAGGER CHALLENGE: 17/25 (Bad to the Bone, You Were Here, The Well)
2017 FLIGHTS OF FANTASY CHALLENGE: 16/18 (Flame in the Mist, Blue's Prophecy, The Well, Memortality)
2017 HORROR READING CHALLENGE:  11/25 (Wytches, The Well)
2017 WHAT AN ANIMAL CHALLENGE:   11/20 (Downward Dog, Bad to the Bone, Blue's Prophecy)
2017 NEW RELEASE CHALLENGE: 27/61 (Bad to the Bone, Flame in the Mist, You Were Here, Downward Dog, Harley Quinn Rebirth Vol. 1, Blue's Prophecy, The Well, Memortality)
BLOGGER SHAME REVIEW CHALLENGE:  2/12

I had 1 DNF, 2 3-paw reads, 5 4-paw reads, and 1 5-paw read.  My faves were The Well, Downward Dog and Wytches.

So overall I'm OK with where my challenges stand.  Some could be better but hey, I'm having fun!  How are your challenges going???

  1. Looks like you're dong good on your challenges. Too bad about the DNFs. I'm haunted when I don't finish a book.

    1. I am too and I STILL wish I had finished it even though I'm pretty much resigned to not picking it up again.

  2. You are doing really good. I have no clue how many books I read in May, it was kind of a blur and with being in the Philippines I don't have my book that has my count...lol. Maybe at the end of June I can do a May/June reads...lol.

  5. May went so fast for me too, and I'm not going to count how many books I read because it feels like a "lost" month, lol. I was also on track with Goodreads for a day or so, but then got behind. What the heck?

    1. I don't know what's worse. Getting and staying behind but catching up and only doing so for a fleeting moment. You had so much going on in May that I'm sure whatever you managed to read was a great accomplishment.

  8. Some months are like that, I'll never forget this May as I got to go to Cancun to walk my little girl (of 37) down the aisle. It was a FAB trip!

  12. I know how you feel. The month of May has gone by and I did well on my reading, but now that summer is hear and school is out I won't be doing much reading except for re-reads. ^_^ I've got several challenges I working on this year and so far so good. ^_^ Have a great month of June and Happy Reading!

    1. I don't do many re-reads. I feel there are too many books I want to get to that are unread. I do hope to re-read Menagerie and It this summer at some point. Hope you enjoy your summer.

  24. May did fly by in a whir. I had a terrible month of reading and blogging. I hope I can stay on track the rest of the summer. Hey, being on track for the GR challenge for even a day is pretty darn good.

  25. May wasn't good at all for me but you are doing pretty good with all challenges. Approximately 50% which is great because June just started!

  26. I think you're in a pretty good position on most of your challenges and there are still plenty months to get caught up on everything. A nice run of good books will do wonders for you!
